Elevate your professional skills and impact as an educator by becoming a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) or a Certified Academic Therapist (CALT). These certifications empower you to master whole class or small group instruction techniques with the application of reading of science and provide specialized, effective interventions for dyslexic students.

These certifications are more than an academic achievement; it's a transformative step in your career, enabling you to significantly enhance the learning experiences of your students and truly transform lives.

Your Path Starts Here

Our International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) -- accredited programs provide comprehensive instruction in the science of reading, the science of dyslexia, and the structure of the English language through a sequenced pathway of  six total courses  with  supervised practicum experiences.

The Dyslexia Practitioner (CALP) Program includes the first three courses, designed to build foundational knowledge and skills.

Educators may then continue with an additional three courses in the Dyslexia Therapist (CALT) Program to advance their expertise in diagnostic and prescriptive Academic Language Therapy.

Graduates are prepared to apply for national certification through Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) at the CALP or CALT level, and in Louisiana, completion of these programs also qualifies educators to apply for the Dyslexia Practitioner or Dyslexia Therapist Ancillary Certificates through the Louisiana Department of Education.
